About Dr. John Hargrove, DC

Before I Was a Doctor, I Was the Patient.

That experience — of being dismissed by conventional medicine, of finding a physician who finally looked at the whole picture — is the reason I built this practice. And it's the reason I practice the way I do.

The Origin Story

I Know What It Feels Like to Fight for Your Health.

At age 20, I underwent open-heart surgery. Before that, I was a sick teenager — struggling with autoimmune disease, severe food allergies, and medications that were quietly making my heart condition worse. To the outside world, I looked almost normal. But inside, my biology was failing.

The doctors I saw were dismissive. They looked at my labs, told me everything was fine, and sent me home. It wasn't until I found a functional health doctor who finally looked at the whole picture that someone showed me a path to truly heal.

"That experience is the reason I became a doctor. And it's the reason I never dismiss a patient who tells me something is wrong — even when the labs say otherwise." — Dr. John Hargrove, DC

Driven by my own recovery, I threw myself into the science of human biology. As a pre-med undergraduate, I became the youngest student at my university to publish in endocrinology — publishing three times in peer-reviewed journals, running my own research budget, and spending three years in the hospital pathology lab learning exactly how the body breaks down, and exactly how to build it back up.

That foundation — research, biochemistry, endocrinology, and 27 years of clinical practice — is what I bring to every patient who walks through the door.

Clinical Philosophy

Medicine That Works With Your Biology, Not Against It.

Most physicians are good people working within a system that prioritizes managing symptoms over restoring function. Dr. Hargrove built his practice to be the exact opposite — a place where the goal is to understand why your body is struggling, and to support it in doing what it was designed to do.

Whether the answer is a precise chiropractic adjustment, a comprehensive functional medicine workup, or the newest advances in physician-prescribed peptide therapy — the approach is always the same: find the root cause, address it directly, and measure the results.

"I suffered a heart attack after COVID. I used the same protocols I now recommend to my patients. Today, in my 60s, I am on zero medications. I don't just recommend these approaches — I live them."

Megan Bennett

Megan grew up in rural Georgia and made Savannah her full-time home in 2022. Her background in dental patient care and holistic health products — including work with Muscadine Products Corporation on the documented benefits of muscadine grapes — shaped a deep belief that nature, when understood, is one of the most powerful tools in medicine.

Her commitment to prevention is personal. Overmedicated as a teenager, she experienced real consequences — liver and metabolic problems — that resolved only when she shifted to lifestyle and root-cause thinking. That experience is why she believes so deeply in what this practice stands for.

"I grew up in places where people know each other by name. That's the kind of practice I want to be part of — one that has a lot of heart."
